A Public Library System trashing used books

Recently, in February this year, in fact, a public library system was found guilty and throwing garbage bags to study full of books used in their trash’ Several of these books are still in excellent condition and is not just one time or another event’

Public Library Knox County, which is sponsored by the taxes that are paid by residents and county, was studied recently by one of the local news channels in the state of Tennessee and the wrath of their research in a number of the Knox County residents’ Throughout the county, there are at least twenty public libraries and eighty percent of the libraries have been convicted for throwing a large amount of garbage bags of books every week’ Books that were recovered ranged from children’s books to textbooks to magazines, but more shocking is that some of the books that looked as if it was never opened’ All these books have been marked by the Library with the seal removed, indicating that it was no longer in your system’

The Knox County residents were outraged by the findings of this investigation because they believe that the book could have been invested in schools, nurseries, boys and girls clubs, centers for the elderly, or who may have sold at least depth for new books or computers for the libraries’ Several of these books were brought to the area of selling books to determine what would be its value, and most of the books that have received at least anywhere from seventy-five cents’ In fact, a book is a book about the biology of endangered species and has a value of twelve dollars, which is even more wrenching to make’

The director of the library has been questioned and a list of books that have been retrieved and presented to him some books, including the surprise’ His only comment was that the library system to a set of procedures and policies for several years and sometimes the books are to be rejected because of their age, wear’ He said he began to send each library published a list for approval before the sack of books’

Comments, policies and procedures by the director of the Knox County Library System and the general public are alarming’ I never thought in a country that has freedom of expression and there are many people who can not read and write that we would have a public library system selfish shed pounds’ If the library did not want more books and have not had time to process, so why not just give people entering the library on a daily basis? This is so barbaric! There are several major retailers of books that follow the books that can no longer sell to make room for new books, but have enough appreciation for them not to throw in the trash!
